Power School Parent Portal
It was brought to our attention last week that parents are unable to see their child's grades on the Parent Portal. However, where the grade should be, there are two blue dashes. If you click on those dashes, a new screen will open that shows a list of assignments that have been entered for each subject and your child's grade on each assignment. The final grade is not there. Pearson, the company that runs Power School, is aware of this problem. The final grades were deleted when they upgraded the program over the summer. They are working to correct the problem. If the problem is not resolved soon, hard copies of progress reports will be sent home so that you are well informed of your child's progress.
To access the Parent Portal, click on the link on the Lake Shore Public Schools homepage - www.lakeshoreschools.org. If you have lost or misplaced the log in information that was sent to you by the district, please contact your child's teacher to get duplicate information.

Homework
Students will receive homework most days, usually with the exception of Friday. All homework is due at the BEGINNING of the next day unless otherwise noted. You may keep informed of homework by daily checking and initialing your child's Homework Agenda.
Homework that is not submitted on the due date will be marked down 20%. Poor homework habits will negatively affect your child's report card grades.
Please know that ALL assignments that are submitted on time may be corrected and returned if a poor grade was received. Your child will receive the higher grade in our gradebooks. This will help your child to improve his/her final grades in all subject areas. Tests & Quizzes may not be retaken.
